Eligibility

5-year-olds (1-year-childcare): For those born between April 2, 2012 and April 1, 2013

4-year-olds (2-year-childcare): For those born between April 2, 2013 and April 1, 2014
3-year-olds (3-year-childcare): For those born between April 2, 2014 and April 1, 2015

Acceptance of entry application form Tuesday, November 1 from 8:00 a.m. for those who do not have a child/children already enrolled in our kindergarten.
From 9:00 a.m. for those who have a sibling/siblings already enrolled in our kindergarten, or those who already belong to the Hiyoko Group.

Application process Please complete the required fields on the designated application form and submit it with the admission examination fee, which is 5,000 yen. 
Interview and entry processes After the application process is complete, we will arrange an interview with the children and parents in the order of receipt.
After the interview, in exchange for the submission of the “Application for Children’s Education Benefits/Application for Use of the Facility,”and "Individual Number entry form"we will issue an admission permit.
You are required to pay the entry fee and entry preparation fee by the prescribed closing date.

Payment

Payment paid at the time of the application and entry processes

(1) Admission examination fee: 5,000 yen (to be paid at the time of entry application)
(2) Entry fee (including expenses for facilities, education enhancement and allocation of specified staff members)

   *You are required to pay this via bank transfer.

  ・5-year-olds (1-year-childcare):   40,000 yen

  ・4-year-olds (2-year-childcare):   80,000 yen
  ・3-year-olds (3-year-childcare): 120,000 yen
(3) Entry preparation fee: 25,000 yen *You are required to pay this via bank transfer.

Monthly payment

(1) An income-based basic childcare fee calculated by the local government where the child resides

     (between 0 and 25,200 yen in the case of Yokohama City)
(2) Teaching material fee: 1,000 yen
(3) Parents’ association membership fee: 450 yen
(4) Twice a week lunch provision every Monday and Thursday: The expected price is 1,750 yen

     (excluding April and August)
    *An order system applies to lunch provision on Fridays: 324 yen per meal

Other fees

・Fee for cooling and heating (an annual fee of 3,000 yen to be collected in April every year)
・Fee for school buses (those who wish to use the services are to pay a monthly fee of 3,240 yen)
・Milk and barley tea (to be collected per term, between roughly 1,800 yen and 2,500 yen)
・Deposit for graduation album (500 yen per month for 5-year-olds)
・Fee for events (actual fee to be collected per event)
・Fee for equipment (approximately 7,000 yen)
*All fees are deducted from your bank account.
*Uniform (approximately 13,700 yen, to be paid directly to the supplier)
*Regarding photos and picture books, you are only required to pay for those you purchase.

 

*Facility benefit type system, Payment certification decision notice is issued after submitting the “Application for Children’s Education Benefits/Application for Use of the Facility”and ”Individual Number entry form”to the kindergarten. After concluding a service agreement, you will receive a Notice of usage fee indicating the basic childcare fee and its classification.
*The childcare and other fees will be deducted automatically on a monthly basis from your Japan Post Bank account. Those who do not have a Japan Post Bank account are required to open one (a form may be obtained from us after your child’s entry is accepted by us).
*In general, we are unable to return the payment paid at the time of application and entry processes unless you are forced to withdraw your entry due to a job transfer or relocation. In that case, you are required to inform us by the last day of March in order to receive a full refund.
